Technology Orientation
In conjuction with Human Resources, LIS Technology Support is responsible for coordinating all your technology needs in anticipation of new staff and faculty arrivals. After all your technology needs have been established, a technology orientation session is scheduled.

TechHelp Training
LIS Technology Support has put together a series of training classes available to faculty and staff, covering a multitude of topics such as computing safety, e-mail, Meeting Maker, and much more! We're even planning on tailoring a few classes based on input from you! To register for one of the following classes go to the Learning Garden Registration Site.

9/25/2008Thunderbird DemoWhenever a computer is re-imaged or replaced, it'll have Thunderbird on it instead of Eudora. Attend this Thunderbird demo/familiarization class to find out what it's all about.
10/4/2008Office 2007 DemoOffice 2007 is the next generation of document creation and editing! Microsoft has streamlined its interface to make the most used features the easiest to access. Come check it out. This class assumes a basic familiarity with Office 2003 or below. Please note that this is a demonstration and may not involve any hands-on work. This class is also being offered in December.

11/6/2008NaturalReaderNaturalReader is a Text to Speech software with natural sounding voices. This easy to use software can convert text documents (MS Word, web pages, PDF files, emails, etc.) into spoken words. NaturalReader can also convert written text into audio files such as MP3 or WAV for your CD player or MP3 player.
11/20/2008Acrobat 9 Pro - A Glance at the Improvements Adobe continues to move forward with advancement of the PDF. Attend this demo to see Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional and some of the new and enhanced features, including the OCR tool. Please note that this is a demonstration and may not involve any hands-on work.
